CTA's web2.0 training workshop helps forest information dissemination

The Technical Centre for Rural and Agricultural Cooperation has been running the Web2.0 training program for field practitioners and managers involved in rural and agricultural sectors.

Presently, one such workshop is being run in Mauritius by Mauritian trainers to help in efficient and effective information dissemination and networking among professionals and field practitioners alike. Some 25 motivated participants are discovering useful tools at the end of their fingertips and learning to use these.

In this very context,our blog regarding news on Mauritian forests has been created. This is like a dream come true for many of forestry professionals, practitioners and conservationists who have been struggling to network among themselves using first generation web-based tools.

We sincerely believe that though this first step a small step in the cyber world, it is indeed a giant leap for people aspiring for quicker positive changes around them and this applies to Forestry as well.

A first blog site for disseminating forest information of Mauritius has been established. this humble start will go a long way, since the will is here and we will find a way.
